Contributing to The Hayle Pump
The Hayle Pump welcomes contributions from anyone who wishes to share news, events, community updates, local history, opinions, achievements, public notices, or other items of interest relating to Hayle and the surrounding area.
As a community publication, we are proud to provide a platform for local voices and encourage residents, organisations, clubs, charities, schools and businesses to help keep our community informed and connected.
Editorial Policy
To maintain the quality, relevance and integrity of the newsletter, the Editorial Team reserves the right to edit, shorten or decline submissions where necessary. Every effort will be made to preserve the author’s intended meaning and message.
Priority is given to material directly connected to Hayle. However, we are pleased to consider contributions from neighbouring communities including St Erth, Connor Downs, Phillack and other local villages where space permits.
The views and opinions expressed in articles, letters, notices and other submitted material are those of the individual contributors and do not necessarily reflect the views of The Hayle Pump Editorial Team or its volunteers.
Submission Guidelines
To help us verify information and maintain accountability, all submissions should include the contributor’s name, address and, where possible, a contact telephone number. These details will be used solely for verification purposes and will not be published without permission.
As a general guide:
News items, letters and notices should be no more than 400 words.
Longer articles may be considered by prior agreement with the Editor.
Extended features may be published over multiple editions where appropriate.
Photographs and supporting images are welcomed where relevant.
