Archives
Welcome to the Hayle Pump Archives.
Here you will find every available edition of the Hayle Pump, from the original prototype produced at Carew House through to the present day. Together, these editions provide a fascinating record of local life, events, people, and history in Hayle, Connor Downs, St Erth, and the surrounding area.
As you browse the collection, you may notice that the quality of some of the earlier scanned editions varies considerably. This is not due to the scanning process itself. Many of the original newsletters were produced using the printing methods and materials available at the time, often on low-cost paper and with limited printing resources. As a result, some pages may appear faint, blurred, or uneven when viewed today.
Despite these imperfections, we have preserved these editions as faithfully as possible, recognising their importance as a valuable historical record of our community. We hope you enjoy exploring the archive and discovering how local life has evolved over the years through the pages of the Hayle Pump.
